Peter Jailall Peter Jailall, a teacher, poet and storyteller, was born in Guyana in Committed to advocacy and community, The Writers' Union of Canada provides services, programs, and support for Canadian writers.

The Writers' Union is a refuge — an occasional one to be sure, but a kind of home nonetheless — for a lot of people who practise an often solitary craft. It's a place populated by people who tend to understand what that's like. Peter Jailall, retired teacher, storyteller and poet has read his work in schools, libraries and universities across Canada and in the Caribbean.
